Bows
Being an archery enthusiast and a medieval reinactor I get a great deal of enjoyment from sending arrows down range. I enjoy medieval style competition shooting at local Renaissance faires and tourneys. I have been apart of an English Longbow Free Company called The Archers of Ravenwood www.Archers.org I have come up with a longbow that I feel looks very traditional at a reasonable price, that just about anyone can pick up and shoot accurately with a little practice.
My bows are all single stave hardwood that is either linen or cloth backed for strength. They are permanently finished and need no further care. They come with excellent quality dacron flemish twist strings and serving. My bow usually range from 70 to 75 inches in height.
The bows come in two different styles, one is a basic longbow which is a self bow. The string nocks are carved into the wooden tips at the end of the bow and the bow has a plain leather grip for $120. The second is the traditional medieval longbow, it begins life the same way as the basic bow then I install beautiful horn nocks on the limb tip of the bow and give the bow a tooled leather grip, they are available for $175.
Below are the bows currently in stock. Please contact me on the "As the Crow Flies" page to arrange a purchase.
